Flatland Cavalry

At some point between Lubbock and Midland, the land shifts from endless cotton rows and rich farmland into pump jacks and mesquite tree filled pastures. Lubbock roots-country outfit Flatland Cavalry straddles that line between the Panhandle and the badlands of West Texas with their bright, earthy country ballads and gritty folk ramblers.

Building off the success of Come May, Cordero and company released their full-length follow-up, Humble Folks, in April 2016.

Elaina Kay

Elaina KayHer passion for the outdoors and the cowgirl lifestyle came at an early age, but her true calling poured out in her early songwriting. Since she was ten years old, her “Memaw” toted her around to sing every rodeo, festival or old folks home in her area. She also got her start performing on the “Johnny High Music Revue” in Arlington, TX. When she was eighteen, she loaded her truck down and moved herself to the “Cowboy Capital of the World” in Stephenville, Texas and joined the Tarleton State University college rodeo team. She soon realized she didn’t only belong horseback, but behind a guitar, playing her original music. Throughout college Elaina found a new well of inspiration in realizing that drinking beer with cowboys could get you in some bad situations and leave you with a lot of heartache. This put the fire beneath her to realize she had something to say and wanted to engulf her life in music and performing. It wasn’t long before she put out her first record, hit the road, and never looked back.
